Fix-Your-Bike

Thank you to everyone who supported the Fix-Your-Bike at Fullwell Cross on Saturday, 22/8/2026.

It was a busy session. With our limited resources, we fixed 19 bikes, some requiring a lot of work. If you were one of the people we advised to go to a bike shop, London Cycling Campaign’s list is here. If we suggested you come to another of our sessions, the next will be on Sunday, 20 September, 2026 from 12 noon in Valentine’s Park as part of the Redbridge Cycling Festival. Details of the festival are on our rides page.

Thank you to everyone who made a donation at the event. If you would still like to donate, here is the link to our PayPal page.

RCC Fix-Your-Bike

The next RCC Fix-Your-Bike will be on Saturday, 22 August, 2026 in Ken Aston Square, Barkingside (outside Fulwell Cross Library) from 11:30 to 15:00.

This event coincides with Redbridge Outdoor Arts 2026.

Bring your bike along and our volunteer bike mechanics will check it is roadworthy. We can carry out minor repairs and supply a limited range of spare parts such as inner tubes and brake blocks. All our services are free, although we appreciate donations, which cover the cost of spare parts. We can take donations by card and cash.

The session in Goodmayes Park held on 25 July helped us reach another part of the borough and we fixed five bikes.

The September session will be part of the London Cycling Festival, to be held on Sunday, 20 September, 2026. Again this year, there is no Ride London Freecycle. Instead, London Cycling Campaign borough groups will hold rides and events. In Redbridge, there will be seven rides from nine starting points, converging at Valentine’s Park for a picnic. Details are on our rides page. We would love to see you on one of the rides and, if your bike needs attention, at the Fix-Your-Bike.
