2022 Ride season finishes on a high note

We completed our 2022 season over the weekend of 29 and 30 October with a bumper edition of two rides in one weekend!

On the family ride on Saturday, we explored some interesting routes to and from Markfield Park in the Lea Valley. The weather was like a summer’s day.

Our last scheduled ride for the year was on Sunday, and 14 of us turned up on a very wet morning. The weather did clear and everyone made it to and from Richmond riverside in west London.

Redbridge Cycling Campaign’s rides co-ordinator Haydn is already working on the 2023 schedule so keep checking the rides page to be the first to sign up, and in the meantime check out some photos and highlights of the 2022 season.

See you next year!

Dr Bike at Wanstead Festival

Dr Bike were working hard at Wanstead Festival to carry out free bike checks and minor repairs.

The festival, delayed by a couple of weeks, went ahead in lovely sunny weather on Sunday 2 October and attracted crowds as usual. Wendy, pictured, did put in a plea for people to get their bike checks done early: “We did about nine bikes this morning but there’s always a rush towards the end” she said.

Dr Bike is run by Redbridge Cycle Confident, who also organise rides and cycle training. Details can be found on their website https://www.cycleconfident.com/sponsors/london-borough-of-redbridge/
