Monthly Meetings

Redbridge Cycling Campaign regular meetings take place online, usually on the third Tuesday of the month at 7.30 pm.

All members of LCC living in the London Borough of Redbridge are automatically members of RCC and are very welcome to attend our meetings and discuss cycling in the borough.

The next meeting will take place at 19.30 on Tuesday, 21 July, 2026.

The joining link is here.

The Group Co-ordinator has send appologies for absence and provided a written report for consideration by the meeting:

Co-ordinators report July 2026

As I will not be able to attend the RCC meeting on 21st July I have written a summary of what we have been up to since our last (June) meeting.

You can see from our website that our Fix-your-bike scheme is going well.  Otherwise, things have been quiet.

I contacted Councillor Jo Blackman who as Cabinet Member for Environment and Neighbourhoods holds the cycling and active brief and asked her about a meeting of the Redbridge Cycling Forum – we haven’t had one since December 2025 – to hear about what the council’s plans are for cycling, in regard to both its Sustainable Transport Strategy and the pledge the Labour party made in response to LCC’s Streets for Cycling campaign.  RCC was hoping for a meeting before the school summer holidays because we think that if the Council is going to make good on the targets it set itself in its Sustainable Transport Strategy and on the pledge it made it needs to ger a move on.  Jo has promised a meeting in the Autumn, but we do not have a date yet.

You can read the email we sent to the local parties at the beginning of the Streets for Cycling Campaign and the parties’ replies here and here.

Haydn, our rides coordinator, and Councillor Blackman are still trying to organise a ride for Councillors to see at first hand Redbridge’s cycling infrastructure, but finding a suitable date continues to prove difficult.

Group Coordinator
